Powerpoint

For my first CCR, I decided to do a powerpoint. I decided to make a powerpoint for this because this was the question that I did not understand that well. I hard trouble relating my genre to social issues and problems and I also didn't understand conventions that well. I though powerpoints were not that hard so i could use it on this question to make things easier for myself

For my second and third CCRs I decided to make videos of me talking about them. I decided to make videos because I prefer to explain things by talking, so it was easier for me to explain how I completed this project by talking, rather than writing it down or making a slide show. I took about two to three minutes on each CCR so i could thoroughly explain how I did things and what my though process was throughout the project.
Today I went back to clean up my magazine one last time before being completely done with it. I rearranged a few things on each page to try and make it look like things corresponded with each other a lot better. I also added basic things like bolded important words or phrases, and also added page numbers on each page.

Throughout this whole process of making this magazine cover, I have been using a website called Canva. I have also been using to make the Table of Contents and Article as well. It is a very useful website that makes pages with pictures on them, and text and shapes can be added on to it. This project would have been a lot more difficult if I wasn't able to use this website, because there were a lot of cool features that helped me build my magazine.
Today I made the final article for the magazine. It was about the best summer fashion stores, and I interviewed my friend Antonia to help me out with it. Just like planned, I mostly wrote about the information Antonia gave me so it makes sense for people who have summers with and without beaches. I added a picture of a store on a beach so people can see a visual of what that might look like. It was a very basic article, but it should be useful for people who really do not know where to shop for summer clothes.
Today I had my interview with Antonia. I met her at her house and we hung out for a little bit before i started the interview. When I finally did start the interview, she gave me a lot of background about how summer style is different in New Jersey than Florida. In New Jersey, they usually only where summer type of clothes if they go swimming in lakes, but other than that it is more normal clothes. That was a surprise for me to hear, especially because in Florida people wear bathing suits all the time, even if they aren't going swimming. She also answered all my questions throughout the interview, and here are the results.

- Do you prefer summer in Florida, or in New Jersey?
Answer: Florida because there is always a beach to go to
- Where do you usually go to get your clothes during the summer?
Answer: To keep up with what is trending, I usually go to stores on the beach to always keep up with the common fashion.
-Where did you usually go to get your clothes when you lived in New Jersey?
Answer: I usually went to the store near my house just to get a sometime of bikini, but most people always wore bikinis and boys would wear solid color trunks.
-Are you usually always caught up in the trending style over the summer?
Answer: I try to always stay caught up in fashion because I like to try and fit in, but sometimes during the winter I wear what is most comfortable to me.
Today I planned my interview with my friend. Here is some background information on her and why I chose her. It is hard to do a summer magazine when I've only lived in Florida so I do not know what summer is like where there are not any beaches. However, the girl I am interviewing (Antonia), moved here from New Jersey 4 years ago. I thought that she could give me insight on summer where there are beaches, and where they are not any. Also, Antonia is usually very caught up in whatever type of fashion is trending so that could help.

Some of the questions I plan on asking her during our interview:
- Do you prefer summer in Florida, or in New Jersey?
- Where do you usually go to get your clothes during the summer?
-Why?
-Where did you usually go to get your clothes when you lived in New Jersey?
-Why?
-Are you usually always caught up in the trending style over the summer?
Today I went to the beach to take a picture for my article. I had to reschedule my interview because my friend who I am interviewing had to cancel. I drove to my local beach "Siesta Key Beach", to try and take pictures of some stores. There are actually a lot of places to get clothes near the beach, but I decided to pick probably the most popular store "Beach Bizaar". I took the picture with my own phone and also put a filter on it after. The angle was a medium shot, which showed the front of the store but also the walkway in front to get a good view of it if someone was walking by.
My article will be about the best places to shop for summer fashion for teens. I will mostly focus on the interview I will have, but also important places to get summer type clothes. Thinking ahead, I am planning on talking about basic places like target and walmart but I am also going to talk about stores on the beach. I am doing this because I am going to take pictures of stores on the beach next weekend when I have my interview.

To format my article, I will title it "The Best Summer Fashion Stores", and put a yellow border around it to match the theme. I am also going to add that it was by me and the page number, to have a little more text on the page. I plan on putting the picture on the second page of the article so there is something fun and interesting to look at. It will also give the audience a better view of what beach stores look like.
Today I went back to clean up my magazine cover and Table of Contents before I start my article. I made only a few changes, but they will make my project look a lot better in the long run. First I added a fake scanner onto my magazine to make it look more real. Then I titled my article and placed it in the bottom left corner where it can be easily seen. I also a type of strap line to explain what the magazine will mostly be about

In the Table of Contents, the only thing I did was provide each article title a one sentence description below it. I did it because that would make the magazine seem more legit and most magazines have a description in them regardless

Today I have been working on my Table of Contents. The table of contents is going to have some things similar for me and my group, but also different. We are all going to have the same format and fonts, but different colors and obviously different contents to our magazines. We are using the template Atelier, and we are going to keep the same fonts for our text. Anton for title, Open Sans for slogan, and Antonio Light for any other text.

I personally am going to be using the same type of colors for my text. Blue and yellow for the background so it will match well with the cover. And then I will be using black text so it can stand out more. I will display eight different pages of content, but I have not decided what they will be yet.
I have now started working on making my magazine cover, and I’ve been working on figuring out which colors best clash with the picture, and also what fonts to use. The main to colors i have e to represent my magazine is yellow and blue. Most of the text is back but the colors that stand out the most are yellow and blue. My group and I have been using the same fonts for what we use, such as Anton for the title, Open Sans for the slogan, and Antonio Light for any text to describe the magazine.

I placed the Title in the top right corner so it can be seen better and it is farther from the picture. I placed the slogan in the top left corner so it is lightly shown, and I put puffs near the actual picture. I also italicized any buzz words.

Over thanksgiving break I got a few productive things done. Most importantly, I took the picture of my friend for the magazine cover. I am also now changing what I originally had planned, because I was going to have a darker and mysterious cover, but now I am changing it to a more happy and colorful cover. On the Wednesday before thanksgiving, me and my friend went to her apartment pool, and I took pictures of her next to the pool. She wore a yellow bathing suit and had a vitamin water with her to add something else into the picture. I had her tilt her head and smile, so the audience of the cover will get a happy summer vibe. Lastly, I took the picture with my own Iphone X. I took a medium long shot of my friend, as it shows her from her legs up. I took this shot so it can show her whole bathing suit but also so she is not that far away.

Today is the day before Thanksgiving break, which means I won't be in class for 9 days. I am only about halfway there with the blog posts so I am going to put some work into this project during the break. I also intend on taking the picture for the cover, so I can then do everything I need to do with the cover. This blog post is so I can look at what I have already done and try to reflect on what I have been doing in class. I have only been working on blog posts, so I need to prepare myself for other things I must do like table of contents, and the questions I need to answer.
